The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the sales operations and guest experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:


As a Water Park Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall guest experience of our water park. This position requires a dedicated and skilled individual who is committed to maintaining all equipment, structures, and systems within the park. You will collaborate with a team of maintenance professionals to conduct routine inspections, perform repairs, and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the park operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Equipment Maintenance:

·       Conduct regular inspections of water slides, wave pools, filtration systems, pumps, and other water park equipment.

·       Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems.

·       Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed.

·       Collaborate with suppliers and contractors for specialized repairs and replacements.

2.    Safety Compliance:

·       Ensure all rides, attractions, and facilities meet or exceed industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.

·       Conduct safety inspections and maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

·       Assist in emergency response procedures and drills, including water rescue operations.

3.    Facility Upkeep:

·       Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the water park.

·       Conduct routine maintenance of facilities, including restrooms, changing rooms, and public areas.

·       Assist in landscaping and general park beautification efforts.

4.    Inventory Management:

·       Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance and repair tasks.

·       Coordinate with the procurement team to order necessary materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.

5.    Team Collaboration:

·       Work closely with other maintenance technicians and park staff to address maintenance issues promptly.

·       Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff when required.

·       Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager and report any significant maintenance concerns.

6.    Guest Interaction:

·       Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and address their maintenance-related inquiries courteously.

·       Assist in resolving guest complaints related to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a water park or similar recreational facility.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and aquatic environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.

· Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.

· Continuous repetitive motions.

· Work in cold, dry, hot, humid, and noisy environments.
