Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performs minor repair of all buildings and equipment.
• Repair and maintenance to resident wheelchairs, walkers, and furniture.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis, nursing lift equipment, alarms, etc.
• Installation and assessment of alarm system throughout the facility.
• Coordinate major maintenance and repair with licensed contractors.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
• Collects/removes facility garbage.
• Collects/delivers recyclable items from facility.
• Completes work orders as written by members of other departments and preventative maintenance tasks assigned to them.
• Completes minor maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and constructional equipment/fixtures.
• Operate floor care machines, i.e., power scrubbers, carpet extractors, etc.
