QUALIFICATIONS

1+ years general maintenance experience (not required)


SCHEDULE

Varies. Typically scheduled between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. May be scheduled to work on weekends. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical demands may include kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching, pushing, manipulating, talking, listening, standing for extended periods, crouching, stooping, walking, lifting objects up to 40 lbs. or more with aid from others or equipment, and repetitive motion.

Activities take place in all weather conditions . The property assistant must be properly dressed for the season at hand to include extreme cold and extreme heat as well as rain and snow.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Treat guests and fellow team members with the utmost respect and courtesy. We are ambassadors of Jesus Christ everywhere and always.

Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.

Use proper PPE and work safely.

Be mindful of the “front of the house” guest experience by trying not to conduct operations that may unduly disrupt guests and camp activities. Furthermore, improve their experience by picking up trash or anything else that is out of place or unsafe. Always err on the side of being a good steward and servant.

Adhere to all Deer Run policies and procedures.

Perform preventative maintenance duties such as cleaning, painting, caulking, sealing & washing.

Perform landscaping maintenance including pressure washing, mowing, leaf blowing, clearing storm damage. 

Perform scheduled maintenance duties such as HVAC air filter changes, gutter cleaning, fire extinguisher inspections, and trash management (detailed below).

Trash Collection: Collect and dispose of trash in all receptacles around the property.

Trash Cans: Clean inside and outside of trash cans. Wipe off lids, dispose of any loose trash, spray out insides as needed.

Collect and dispose of cardboard.

Deep clean trash cans weekly/biweekly or as directed by supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness of property. Pick up all trash around property.

Pavilions: clean tables, pick up trash around pavilions. Pressure wash pavilions as needed.

Fire Pits: Refill firewood, clean and empty ashes, set up fire pits, refill storage containers with fire starters, paper and lighter as needed.

Property Assistant Golf Cart: Safely drive and operate vehicle and trailer. Maintain cleanliness of golf cart and trailer. Fill gas tank once a week. Refill supplies in Golf Cart each morning, as needed.

Rental Golf Carts: Fuel and clean before and after guest use.

Water Coolers: Refill water and cups as needed.

Assist Housekeeping department with heavy lifting (tables, chairs, cots)
