Maintenance Technician

In this dynamic role, you'll take charge of the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems—including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and more. Your expertise will keep our facilities safe, efficient, and in top condition for everyone who uses them.
What You'll Be Doing- Maintain & repair building components such as doors, hardware, drywall, ceilings, flooring, and entry systems.
- Diagnose, dismantle, repair, and realign mechanical and electrical equipment not operating to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and replace motors, switches, ballasts, lamps, receptacles, thermostats, and more.
- Handle plumbing repairs—including leaks, clogged drains, faucets, toilets, and valves.
- Inspect and maintain life safety systems such as fire extinguishers, generators, emergency lights, and elevators.
- Monitor and control building systems using automation tools; adjust set points and flows as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams; assist contractors and ensure smooth access.
- Move furniture/equipment as needed and assist with set-ups.
- Use tools and technology, including hand/power tools, tablets, and our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Follow safety protocols and perform all tasks in accordance with best practices and regulations.
- Stay prepared for emergencies and participate in on-call rotations when necessary.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training in one O&M area preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in facilities maintenance, repair, or building systems operation.
- Proficiency in at least one critical O&M area (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, welding, locksmithing, or small engines).
- Strong ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, technical diagrams, and specs.
- Capable of writing reports and communicating effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, climb ladders, and perform sustained physical activity.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
