Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This position is a day-to-day hands-on position responsible for all aspects of the maintenance department. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the hotel are operating in an efficient manner.
Primary Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Maintains inventory of tools and supplies and completes purchase requisitions as needed.
- Maintain the proper maintenance, chemicals and cleanliness for the entire hotel according to established standards and laws.
- Ensure that the parking lot and grounds are maintained according to established quality standards.
- Maintain operating condition of buildings and equipment and completes simple repairs.
- Complete tasks on a daily maintenance checklist, unless instructed differently by the General Manager.
- Respond to house calls promptly, completing maintenance tasks requested by guests.
- Use knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing.
- Receive and review all Maintenance Request Forms to decide problem and resolution, and completes assignments as requested on the forms.
- Aid in planning of Hotel projects, remodeling, expansions and monitors jobs completed by outside contractors.
- Must be able to follow safety guidelines and work closely with other team members to make sure all safety guidelines are adhered to.
- Operate common hand and power tools. Follow all State and Local safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Attend all training and employee meetings as required by management.
- Training and meetings are considered mandatory.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or overtime.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Manager. Furthermore, tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time.
Education:
- High School Diploma and/or least 2 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, push, pull, bend, reach overhead, kneel, crouch and execute repetitive motions 75% of the scheduled shift. Ability to lift 50 lbs., periodically during the scheduled shift.
