Maintenance Coordinator
Job Summary:
Under general guidance from the VP of Operations and other Mission Management, coordinates activities involved with the proper operation, maintenance, and improvement of Mission facilities by performing the following duties. Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of general maintenance. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and be insurable by the WRM’s insurance carrier.
Must exhibit knowledge of methods, practices, tools, and materials used in general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities. Skilled in the safe, proper use, and care of hand/power tools, equipment, & machinery and equipment. Awareness of the occupational hazards and use of appropriate safety precautions. Ability to recognize hazards and take precautions to prevent hazards. Demonstrates attention detail. Identifies and resolves problems with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work; gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Makes timely decisions. Works independently with little supervision. Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Makes minor electrical, plumbing, painting, small engine, fixtures, locks, and carpentry repairs to maintain and/or improve Mission facilities.
· Provides monthly maintenance of HVAC filters and equipment.
· Prepares estimates and plans for projects and works within scope of project.
· Coordinates projects through appropriate channels and must keep communication ongoing to multiple persons.
· Follow guidelines and boundaries outlined in the Maintenance Requisition Process.
· Must keep detailed records including; estimates on jobs, plans, receipts, time allocation, Maintenance & Vehicle Logs, etc.
· Operates company vehicle in proper manner, observing speed limits, being a careful and courteous driver, using seat belts and not allowing himself/herself to be distracted while operating vehicles and machinery.
· This position must be careful to not work on or affect items covered under AVS or other contracts (copiers, alarms, closed circuit video, fire monitoring, sprinkler system, backflow systems, etc.)
· This position must be careful to not exceed their personal skills & abilities set. They must know and not push their limits.
· Must be familiar with codes and permitting so as to operate properly under local regulations.
· Performs duties while keeping area as generally clean as possible during work, and cleans up area before concluding work day.
· Inspects and reports deficiencies of facilities.
· Some travel may be necessary for training and temporary duty.
· Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other Mission management.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. We expect that this person will perform functions with all due diligence in related to keeping himself, others, the equipment & work area as Safe as practically possible.
