Position Summary: The Maintenance position involves inspecting, repairing, and performing general upkeep on facilities, equipment, and systems like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, to ensure their continued functionality and safety. Key responsibilities include routine checks, prompt response to repair requests, troubleshooting problems, and sometimes grounds keeping or cleaning, all while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining relevant records.
Duty and Responsibilities:
- Inspections: Regularly inspect equipment, facilities, and grounds to identify potential issues or areas needing repair.
- Repairs: Perform minor and complex repairs on systems and structures, such as fixing broken locks, leaks, or damaged walls.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine tasks to prevent equipment failure, including lubricating machinery, replacing filters, and cleaning systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using diagnostic tools and find solutions to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- System Maintenance: Work on various systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and potentially boilers.
- Safety Checks: Test and ensure the proper working condition of safety equipment like smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.
- All other Duties as Assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various building systems, mechanical equipment, and maintenance tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve problems efficiently to prevent disruptions and minimize downtime.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for identifying issues and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Versatility: Able to handle diverse maintenance requests and tasks.

Work Environment:
