MAINTENANCE
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Complete the preventative maintenance checklist.
2. Complete minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc. to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.
3. Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacement.
4. Check and make minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
5. Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters.
6. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.
7. Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
8. Ensure that the outside, parking lots and any entrances to the hotel is free from any debris.
9. Maintain all walkways from snow, ice or any other hazardous situations.
10. Handle and store chemicals in a safe environment.
11. Maintain all MSD Data sheets and log books.
12. Operate all equipment in a safe manner. Do not use if you have not been properly trained.
13. Use cones to advise guests that floor or carpet may be wet.
14. Be alert to all possible hazards and practice safety at all times for yourself, our guests, and fellow workers.
15. Advise General Manager or MOD if someone is in the stairwells, back landing or hallways, that you feel is not a registered guest. Safety First
16. Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
17. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and be available for on call status.
18. Must have reliable transportation.
19. Must wear appropriate clothing, shoes, to ensure safety at all times.
20. Report any damages or hazardous situations to the General Manager.
Appearance:
1. Check your personal appearance before starting your shift.
2. Uniform clean, neat and the correct size.
3. Wear shoes that are closed toe and have a non-slippery bottom.
4. Name badge worn on uniform shirt daily.
Attention to Details:
1. Be careful when using equipment. Do not use if you have not been properly trained. Watch for guests when working in hallways. Use cones to advise guest that floor or carpet may be wet.
2. Be alert to all possible hazards and practice safety at all times for yourself, our guests, and fellow workers.
3. Do not lift heavy items without assistance.
4. Always knock on guest door and announce your reason for being there before entering.
5. Never unlock a door for anyone. Guests must be instructed to report to the front desk per hotel security policy.

1. Be friendly and responsible to our guests needs.
2. Keep your voice low so you will not disturb the guests in their room.
3. Always respond to a guest request.
4. Be friendly and respectful to your fellow workers
