Division: Facilities
Position Overview
The Maintenance position inspects the facility for equipment, furnishings or other areas that are in need of repair. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Job Functions
· Ensure public areas are maintained.
· Complete maintenance repairs and replacement of items as required.
· Complete repairs to ensure facilities, furnishings and equipment are in good repair and in good working order.
· Provide maintenance or repairs for exterior and grounds, including repair in parking lots, signage, painting, maintenance for equipment (eg; snowblowers, lawn mower etc.), gardening, and assisting with snow/ice removal.
· Ensure that work is done to regulations, standards and/or policies of the casino.
Requirements
· Experience in maintenance and applicable training.
· Professional knowledge or certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, water treatment and landscaping (preferred).
· Experience in managing and directing the work of others.
· Good client service skills.
· Able to work independently, with minimal direction.
· Good English communication skills.
· Valid WHMIS certificate, familiar with Health & Safety, fire and building codes.
Other Skills/Abilities
· Must be physically capable of walking or standing for long periods, some lifting, bending or other physical activities to complete work is required.
· Available on call or after hours, on occasion.
