WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING FOR
You'd be joining a precision grinding and machining shop that's been trusted by American industry for over 70 years. ISO-certified, family-owned, and serious about quality — this is a place where the work you do with your hands actually matters. Whether you're launching your manufacturing career or adding a solid shop to your resume, this is a role worth showing up for.
THE ROLE
You'll be working hands-on with belt grinding machines in a precision manufacturing environment. You don't need to be an expert on day one — but you do need to show up ready to learn, pay attention to detail, and take pride in the parts coming off your machine. The right person for this role is someone who's comfortable in a shop environment, reliable, and looking to grow.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Machine Support
- Assist with setup and preparation of belt grinding machines — changing belts, adjusting tracking, and preparing fixtures
- Load and unload parts onto the grinding machine or worktable
- Monitor grinding operations to catch defects, overheating, or belt issues before they become problems
- Help make adjustments to pressure, angle, or feed rate as directed
Production & Finishing
- Perform grinding, deburring, smoothing, and surface preparation on metal parts
- Handle raw materials, components, and finished parts at each stage of the process
- Use measurement tools — calipers, micrometers, gauges — to verify part dimensions and finish quality
- Sort, label, and package finished parts according to job specifications
Documentation
- Record production quantities, part counts, and material usage
- Complete quality checklists and inspection forms accurately
WHAT YOU BRING
-
High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some manufacturing, grinding, finishing, or shop experience — even a little goes a long way
- Comfortable using basic measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, or gauges
- Detail-oriented — you notice when something's off and say something
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work — that matters here more than a long resume
- Able to stand for extended periods and work in a shop environment
