Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse for a full-time overnight position in Winnebago. This rewarding opportunity involves providing skilled, one-on-one care for a young pediatric patient with complex medical needs, including a G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator support.

The ideal candidate will bring both clinical expertise and a caring touch, ensuring not only the child’s safety and well-being but also supporting a nurturing environment during the night hours. Overnight shifts run Monday through Sunday, offering consistency and the chance to build a strong therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care according to the care plan
• Monitor health status, track vital signs, and administer medications/treatments
• Collaborate with family and care team to ensure the best outcomes
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation

Requirements:

• Current Illinois RN or LPN license
• CPR required (Castor is able to assist with internal certification if needed)
• Pediatric or young adult experience preferred (but not required)
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-centered approach
• New graduates welcome - comprehensive training provided for trach, vents, G/J tubes, and more through internal skills lab.
