 Shifts:

• Days 0630 to 1830
• Evening 1700 to 2300
• Nights 1830 to 0630
• Casual

Schedule:

• 3 on 3 off Rotation
• 4 on 4 off Rotation  

Wages:

• Starting $38.00 per/hour starting
• Wage increases at 1500 hours worked
• Additional wage increases at 2500, 5000, 7500 hours worked

RRSP Match Program as follows:

• Successful completion of probationary period to end of year 2 - 1 % (base salary plus company 1% match)
• Commencing 3rd year to end of Year 5 - 2% (base salary plus company 1% match)
• Commencing 6th Year - 3% (base salary plus company 1% match)

About Us:

Opened in 2021, The Vineyards Residence is a state-of-the-art five storey, 134-suite residence, offering specialized, enhanced assisted living and memory care services to the Okanagan region.

The residence is designed so that it is broken up into neighbourhoods each with only 16 or 17 suites. Activity/common areas are located at the centre of every neighbourhood, so that dining and activities are only ever a few doors away. This also creates a "small home environment" that allows for relationships with a smaller number of neighbours and caregivers, to support structure and familiarity.

 License/Certification/Experience:

• Current Practicing Nursing License with BCCNP in Good Standings
• Criminal Record Check, working with Vulnerable Adult
• WHIMIS
• First Aid Certificate (current)
• Other related certificates also considered

Experience:

• Working with Residents with Dementia/ Alzheimer’s (preferred)
• Equivalent combination of Grade 12 graduation, plus graduation from Practical Nurse Program that is recognized, and licensed with a current status with BCCNP, that has a dementia component included or other training and experience

Job Duties:

• Medication administration
• Supervision of Medication
• Encouraging our residents to maintain as much as their independence as possible
• Leading the care team
• Ensure adequate nutrition is met
• Complete required electronic documentation for accuracy of residents needs were met
• Provides companionship and always have engagement with residents throughout shift
• Performing clerical duties at times, including staffing and delegating task
• Demonstrating knowledge of safety for residents and team members
