LPN Inpatient Rehab Day Shift Full Time

IMC is currently hiring a Full Time LPN Inpatient Rehab [Day Shift], who is responsible for rendering safe nursing care to patients; supervising, directing, and monitoring the nursing care assigned to her/him; administering medications, performing venipuncture, bladder/bowel management, assisting in the supervision and training of CNAs; and performs related duties, and using the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the adult and geriatric population.
SCHEDULE:
- Full Time, Day Shift
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- Current license as an LPN in the state of Louisiana.
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience preferred, but not required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic knowledge of nursing process and principles
- Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assesses, collaborates and coordinates in planning of patient's discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
- Participates in departmental and hospital improvement plan.
- Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
