Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Varies by assignment (Multiple healthcare facilities, clinics, nursing homes, etc.)

Job Summary: A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a healthcare professional responsible for providing basic nursing care under the direction of Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, or other medical professionals. LPNs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and private homes. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections as per the physician's orders.
- Assist with wound care and dressing changes, as well as other necessary treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting vital signs, patient assessments, and care delivered.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with patient education and health promotion activities.
- Respond to patient concerns, providing timely and appropriate care.
- Observe and report any changes in patients' condition to the supervising RN or physician.
- Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of employment.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to different healthcare settings and varying patient needs.
Working Conditions:
- May require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials, infections, and bodily fluids.
- Shift work may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Travel may be required based on staffing assignments.
