We're continuing to grow and have openings in multiple shifts!

  • 1st shift - 6 a.m - 2 p.m.
  • 2nd shift - 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • 3rd shift - 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
    • Some flexibility is required for the training period on day shifts. Shift differential added after completion of training


The Line Service Technician is a critical part of flight line operations for Business Jet Center.  Line Service Techs work to uphold Business Jet’s high standards of serviceability in all aspects providing many customer and aircraft-related services such as aircraft refueling, towing and airport ramp duties, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide face-to-face customer service to aircraft pilots, passengers, and owners
  • Render aviation services including but not limited to:
    • Aircraft towing and refueling
    • Lead arriving aircraft into position and send out departing aircraft while performing aircraft marshaling signals
    • Provide baggage handling, vehicle valet and customer shuttle services
    • Other aircraft related services such as service order documentation, lavatory service, tire air service, aircraft ground maneuvering, customer relations, pilot transport, ground-to-ground and ground-to-air radio communications, aircraft traffic (marshal procedures), ground power unit service, aircraft windshield
    • Cleaning, aircraft amenities service and any other aircraft related services.
  • Utilize various airport ramps machines such as fuel trucks, ground power units, aircraft tugs, and lifts
  • Escort and assist in all transportation needs (i.e. pick up/drop off passengers).
  • Work with Customer Service Reps to coordinate and complete customer requests
  • Use protective equipment and obey all safety procedures
  • Remain watchful of arriving and departing aircraft
  • Professionally correspond with customers and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude with the ability to multitask.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and in professional condition
  • Other duties as assigned as needed


Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous aviation or FBO experience not required but preferred

  • Experience performing aircraft marshaling signals a plus

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to multitask and provide high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to differentiate aircraft types as well as understand military time and phonetic alphabet
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and develop and take feedback well
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts; including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime


Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to various weather conditions and loud noises.
