What You’ll Do:
Automotive Construction Manager will have responsibility for the overall performance of the automotive equipment installation and service line of business (automotive lifts, lubricant systems and compressors) in our El Paso, TX market; providing leadership for a staff of up to 10 (construction technicians, PM, Estimator, Field Supervisor and administrative support) as we continue to expand this department.
Here's a glimpse into some of your day-to-day responsibilities:
· Safety First: Upholding safety standards is paramount. You'll ensure that all projects and repairs are conducted with safety as the top priority, maintaining equipment and adhering to regulatory guidelines. You’ll also be a safety champion for your staff, modeling safe behavior at all times.
· People Leadership: You’ll be responsible for the leadership and development of our staff, ensuring that not only we deliver exceptional service to our customers, but that we provide meaningful work and development opportunities to your team.
· Client Relationships: Building strong relationships with customers is critical to our success. You'll communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensuring seamless coordination and teamwork in our delivery to our clientele. You’ll interact with customers, their agents/sub contactors, and various regulatory personnel in this role, modeling our D&H Core Values in each interaction.
· Revenue & Profit Growth: You’ll have the responsibility to grow our automotive equipment line of business. A strong knowledge/experience of managing to schedule & cost in order to drive profitable execution is necessary in this role.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Strong people-leadership experience, with a customer-centric focus
- Must be willing to travel occasionally and work out of town including overnight stays; amount of travel will vary based upon client needs. Likewise, flexibility in work hours is required
- Proven experience managing profit/loss is highly preferred
- Experience in construction/project management is required
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding, including drug test and background check. (required)
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
