Lift Operator

We are presently searching for team members as Lift Operators to join our Alpine Operations team for the 2024-25 season. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
* Providing physical assistance to guests loading or unloading from various lifts, including Chairlifts, T-bars, Handle Tows and a Tube Lift.
* Performing all Safety Check required by BC Authorities regarding Passenger Ropeways operations before opening.
* Listening to and assisting guests; seeking additional information from lead hand or supervisor in order to answer guest inquiries
* Notifying lead hand or supervisor in the event of unsafe, unusual, abnormal situations or incidents
* Preparing and completing documentation required by BC Safety Authority
* Controlling line-ups by directing guests to appropriate queues
* Continually shoveling snow from load/unload ramps, raking and grooming ramps
* Shoveling snow around the resort as needed
* Assisting transport with manual labor tasks; digging in winter signage
* Keeping lift stations clear of snow and ice, and keeping lift huts, tools and loading/unloading areas clear of clutter
* Providing lift passengers with dry, de-iced seats and maintaining them during periods of precipitation
* Other Duties as assigned
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
* Possess excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to always provide excellent guest service, especially during periods of inclement weather
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and shovel snow for extended periods
* OFA Lv3 is considered an asset.
* Able to work early mornings, weekends and all holidays
* Must enjoy working outdoors in varied weather conditions
* On-the-job training provided, must pass a lift operator exam
