Position Summary
This position facilitates life enrichment programming activities according to the approved schedule for the residents of the community based on their rights, needs, and preferences with the concepts of independence, individuality, dignity, and privacy in a homelike environment.
Essential Functions
Life Engagement Programming
- Facilitate life engagement activities according to the approved schedule and in conjunction with individual residents’ Negotiated Service Agreements
- Provide feedback to the Life Engagement Director regarding success of scheduled programming, including recommendation for program enhancements
Customer Service
- Continually observe resident satisfaction with life engagement programming and look for opportunities to engage resident families for feedback regarding individual resident preferences
- Communicate with community leadership and resident families regarding successes and challenges observed while facilitating programs
Collaboration
- Educate residents, resident families, community leaders, and team members on the importance of life engagement programming
- Serve as a resource for team members regarding opportunities for additional informal life engagement activities outside of the scheduled programming

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of experience facilitating life engagement or activities programming for groups
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Related education or certification in the areas of life engagement, recreational therapy, or activities programming
Physical Working Requirements
- While performing essential job function, the employee is frequently required to be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, do repetitive movement, sit and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret documents, have common sense understanding, and perform basic mathematics
- Have vision and hearing adequate to perform essential job functions
- Follow OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.
