Essential Functions

• The LVN functions as a health care team member.  The LVN contributes to the assessment of the health status of individuals and groups in the critical care areas, participates in the development and modification of the plans of care, implements care strategies within the LVN scope of practice, renders safe patient care,  participates in evaluation of responses to care interventions, delegates activities within the LVN scope of practice, and performs additional functions for which the LVN has been trained within the professional scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing.
• Must hold a current state license in accordance with the State Board of Nursing.
• Critical care experience is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office shite is required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
