Location: Johnson City, TN, Norton, VA, and Castlewood, VA
Full-Time or Part time available

 Reports to: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Lead therapist

 Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Master’s-level Social Worker to join our outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) team. In this role, you will provide clinical support to individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. You’ll deliver evidence-based counseling, facilitate recovery-oriented groups, and help clients navigate resources for long-term success.

This is a client-facing role requiring empathy, resilience, and strong communication skills, with opportunities to lead both individual and group sessions and collaborate with local community partners.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Must be 18 years of age or older

·         Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling

·         Active licensure or eligibility in Tennessee and/or Virginia (MSW, LCSW, LPC)

·         Minimum of 1 year of experience working with substance use, behavioral health, or related populations

·         Strong understanding of addiction, recovery models, and trauma-informed care

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Conduct client assessments and support the development of individualized treatment plans

·         Provide individual counseling based on patient needs

·         Facilitate and co-lead group therapy and support meetings

·         Document individual and therapy sessions according to standards of profession.

·         Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and nonprofits

·         Coordinate services and referrals to ensure clients receive holistic care

·         Collaborate with front lobby teams and clinical staff to support scheduling and client engagement

·         Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure billing is aligned with services provided

·         Adhere to HIPAA and ethical guidelines, maintaining client confidentiality at all times
