Pathways to Life Inc is seeking energetic and qualified outpatient therapist to join our team. This candidate must be a fully or provisionally licensed clinician with experience in children or adult mental health services in the state of North Carolina.  Newly licensed candidates may also apply. Full Time and Part Time Positions are available.  This position allows a flexible schedule with services being provided in office, community, and telehealth. 


SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director the Licensed Outpatient Therapist provides therapeutic sessions to consumers and families as well as completes Diagnostic and Comprehensive Clinical Assessments. This position is crucial in the implementation of quality and “all inclusive†care at Pathways to Life, Inc. The Licensed Clinical Therapist is responsible for maintaining an outpatient therapy caseload as well as assisting in the completion of assessments of consumers entering services as well as consumers being re-evaluated for services.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Provide individual, family and group therapy to consumers and families.

  2. Conducts the assessment, reassessments, reauthorization of team’s clients, and corresponding Person Centered Plans of the persons served clinical needs and submits for review to assigned clinical staff within 48 hours of assessment.

    1. Completes all specified corrections to assessment within 24 hours.

    2. Submits client information to the appropriate LME/MCO to obtain a record number

    3. Upon Doctors review and approval,   submits authorization requests.

    4. Updates Consumer Tracking Spreadsheet with accurate dates of completion

  3. Assist in the development of clinical profile and treatment planning.

  4. Assist treatment team in the coordination of treatment and goal development.

  5. Show ability to relate and programmatically respond to at-risk youth.

  6. Document accurate and quality service notes for every session of therapy completed.

  7. Handles crisis situations with consumers and walk-in crisis situations (assessments) if necessary.

  8. Obtains and increases professional and technical knowledge and skills by attending trainings, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks related to workplace competence.

  9. Maintains professional certifications and licensure requirements.

  10. Completes tasks with attention to detail, meets established deadlines, and functions with minimal direct supervision. 

  11. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize job duties. 

  12. Displays functional interpersonal skills with employees and patients by communicating in a clear and direct manner when relaying information and managing administrative tasks, and by assisting in resolving misunderstandings and/or conflicts occurring within the organization when needed.

  13. Participates actively in administrative organizational tasks directly related to obtaining and maintaining national accreditation.

  14. Demonstrates the ability to communicate Pathways to Life Inc’s administrative policies, procedures, and protocols in a manner that ensures their application within the operation of the program and services. 

  15. Oversees and ensures completion of all service documentation assigned within the state regulated guidelines.

  16. Demonstrates flexibility as it relates to a change of Assessment and Therapy session times.


POSITIONS SUPERVISED: N/A



LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1.   Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in MFT, Social Work, Marriage Family Counselor, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.

  2.   Licensure or provisional licensure in the state of NC and experience working with adolescents, families and young adults.

  3.   Ability to use good professional judgment.  Detail oriented.  Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision.

  4.   Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  5.  Ability to handle multiple tasks and display excellent time management skills. 

  6.   Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire.

  7.   Experience with multi-cultural/multi-lingual populations and multi-disciplinary teams.


REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Active Licensure from approving Board. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is typically performed in an office or other environmentally controlled room, but can also be performed in the community or in the school. Work exposes incumbent to contagious or infectious diseases; Work may expose incumbent to dangerous and volatile situations; which could result in bodily injury.
