LEGAL AFFAIRS ADMINISTRATOR

About the Role

Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Affairs Administrator to join our dynamic team. This position is an in-office, full-time, Non-exempt, hourly position.

Reports to: Legal Affairs Officer

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 5:15pm

Position Description:

The Legal Affairs Administrator shall provide overall administrative support to the Legal Affairs Officer and Legal Affairs Team. This will include phone and email support, assembling presentation materials for meetings, scheduling duties, and overall office support. The Legal Affairs Administrator shall provide timely and accurate delivery of work assignments and work collaboratively with other GAR staff.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

·         Become Professional Standards Administrator certified

·         Monitors the Legal Affairs Voicemail Box and routes calls and emails for the Legal Affairs Team accordingly

·         Assists the Professional Standards Specialist with intake calls and emails as it relates to filing a Professional Standards complaint

·         Understands the Professional Standards process filing systems

·         Creates and maintains calendar of events that happen year over year

·         Monitors Legal Affairs Calendars to ensure staff coverage for department

·         Assists Legal Affairs Officer with committee rosters, requirements and welcome emails

·         Compiles and maintains documentation to assemble committee agendas and minutes as directed

·         Reviews Committee minutes for uniformity and consistency

·         Assists with scheduling committee meetings, staff schedules and/or volunteer schedules

·         Tracks Board of Directors list including training schedule

·         Creates Board of Directors PowerPoint presentations and assists with Board of Directors Podium Manual

·         Assists in assembling agendas, training packets, and other materials for meetings, classes, forums, etc.

·         Creates processes for the Legal Affairs Team and Staff to record, maintain/improve and streamline functions of the association – including the creation of checklists, how-tos, SOPs, etc.

·         Maintains confidentiality of work, documents and other sensitive information that you may receive from Legal Affairs Officer, CEO and other staff

·         Other duties as directed by the Legal Affairs Officer and CEO

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will bring:

         ·         Attention to detail (required)

         ·         Task oriented

         ·         Previous administrative / office experience

          ·       Strong customer service skills

         ·        Advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

         ·         Must be an effective verbal and written communicator.   

Education / Experience:

Undergraduate Degree or minimum 4+ years related corporate work experience required; legal and/or non-profit background preferred.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
