Leasing Consultant

Asheville, NC Full-time $18.00-$20.00/hour

Summary of Position: Executes the property's marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals by performing all activities related to leasing to new residents, providing resident satisfaction throughout the term of the lease, and securing resident lease renewals. Support our mission: To build a caring and support community for our residents and associates, ultimately resulting in value creation for our partners.

We are seeking an energetic leasing consultant to join our team in Asheville, NC at Birch Hill Apartments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leasing and marketing vacant and upcoming apartments.
  • Showing/touring apartments to prospective residents.
  • Meeting leasing goals.
  • Assisting residents, answering the telephone, and responding to emails.
  • Completing all leasing paperwork.
  • Compiling and processing applications.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Explaining lease agreements and all appropriate addenda to new residents.
  • Walking apartments, cleaning, light maintenance
  • Walk property to report any necessary improvements.
  • Provide outstanding, above and beyond customer service.
  • Assisting with resident activities.
  • Social planning.
  • Social Media marketing and engagement.
  • Local business networking.
  • Upkeep of the office, clubhouse, and apartment model homes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Computer experience to include basic working skills in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn basic data entry in the property managment softward (Yardi). Ability to read and understand general business periodicals, professional and governmental regulations and policies and procedures manuals. Ability to write basic reports, and business correspondence, Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from applicants, tenants, management and the general public.

This position is Full Time, and offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience, great benefits, and a leasing bonus program.
