Leasing Consultant
Seeking an energetic and outgoing Leasing Consultant to join our team near Lynchburg VA!
Qualified Leasing Professionals will have at least one year of property management experience, in a leasing capacity. This position is Full Time and offers competitive hourly pay, and a great benefit package.
Summary of Position:
- Provide excellent service to all residents, prospects, and visitors to the community.
- Ensure property performance is maximized—this includes walking the grounds to ensure product is show ready; walk all made ready apartments to inspect and ensure ready for new resident.
- Tour visitors and guests (this includes prospects, owners, investors, guests from corporate) to show amenities, apartments, models, community, etc. (this may involve walking on hills and up and down 3 flights of stairs)
- Train staff members on proper leasing techniques and resident service.
- With Community Manager, set leasing goals for property.
- Under direction of Community Manager, provide timely reporting on leasing statistics.
- Evaluate unit prices in accordance with the market and budgeted goals.
- Manage the application review process for each lease including credit and income verifications.
- Ensure lease packets and files for each resident to include the lease, all addendums and other proper documentation.
- Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including a final inspection and walk through with resident.
- Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms and coordinate the renewal process for each lease.
- Conduct marketing reviews monthly.
- Follow Fair Housing Standards in all matters when working with prospects and residents.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook) and Yardi preferred.

This position requires some weekends and holiday scheduling.
