is seeking a Lead Locate Technician for the Missoula, Montana area. This is a
Union position, and the hourly rate is DOQ. This person will work alongside the
Area Manager as well as performing locates and utility-related tasks. They will
report to the Area Manager.
In addition to hourly compensation, ELM offers a full benefits package including:
· Company vehicle and fuel card are provided for you to take home each day as your mobile office

Your specific duties in this role will include, but not limited to:
· Working independently outdoors utilizing your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will work a route of locate requests to be completed each day.
· Complete all necessary digital documentation and paperwork
· Work periodic overtime and weekend on-call rotation may be requested
· Assist in any and all responsibilities assigned by the Area Manager including problem solving solutions, coordinating efforts, and reporting results
· Some duties may require approval prior to creation
· Issuing Disciplinary Action Notices, Coaching Sessions and directing workflow
· Will be responsible for on-call in the absence and/or alternating periods of time or discretion of the Area Manager
· Workload and seasonality will determine the ratio of bargaining unit production locating and non-production management-oriented activities but either will constitute up to 100% at any given time.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
· At least 18 years of age
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid driver’s license in good standing
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
***Please note: This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of Marijuana remains a drug listed in Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act, and the use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited***
