The Daily Catch, established in 1973 in Boston, MA, are family-owned and operated Sicilian-style seafood and pasta restaurants. We have 3 locations in Boston and a wholesale seafood business based out of Boston's Fish Pier. We serve local New England fish species cooked with family recipes that continue to satisfy seafood lovers from around the world.
Job Summary
The Daily Catch is seeking an experienced Host to assist the restaurant management team in leading the restaurant on a nightly basis. The Lead Host/Hostess is responsible for the highest levels of customer satisfaction for each guest. Teamwork, high-energy levels, and the ability to perform in high-pressure situations are essential in this role. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about hospitality, customer service, food, and beverage and can confidently manage OpenTable reservation system.
This is a leadership role and will be responsible for assisting the management of the Front of House.

Responsibilities
- Assist with managing the restaurant on a daily/nightly basis ensuring high customer satisfaction, a welcoming atmosphere, and a positive team environment
- Manage the OpenTable waitlist and reservations, calling to confirm reservations
- Oversee restaurant set up, break down, and closing manager duties
- Ensure that tables are cleared and cleaned promptly
- Collaborate with management to ensure the restaurant is functioning efficiently
- Provide constant support during service to all FOH staff, including seating guests, taking tables, and bussing tables
- Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, including the reception area and dining room
- Handle customer complaints and ensure that they are resolved to the satisfaction of the guest
- Any other tasks necessary for the restaurant to operate properly
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a hospitality leadership role
- Minimum 3 years working either as a Host/Hostess position in a restaurant
- Strong foundation of hospitality, customer service, and leadership
- Strong knowledge of OpenTable or other reservation systems
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
