Lead Carpenter

Location: Greater Boston Area

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Carpenter who can manage projects from framing to finish. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structural framing, roof framing, and additions, as well as exceptional skills in finish carpentry. This position requires a motivated individual capable of independently managing a variety of tasks, including decks, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, and doors.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of carpentry from framing to finish (decks, small additions, roof framing, structural framing, etc.)
• Execute finish carpentry projects including cabinets, shelving, trimming, and other detailed work
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise execution
• Work on installation of windows, doors, bathrooms, kitchens, and other home improvement tasks
• Use personal hand tools for various projects as needed
• Follow safety regulations and building codes to maintain high-quality standards
• Ensure the job site is clean and organized at all times

Requirements:

• 5+ years of carpentry experience with strong framing and finish skills
• Proven ability to frame decks, small additions, and complete roof and structural framing
• Expertise in installing cabinets, shelving, trimming, and finish work on windows, doors, bathrooms, and kitchens
• Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license and CSL (Construction Supervisor License) and/or Builder’s License preferred
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
