POSITION SUMMARY 

Our jobs aren’t just about giving guests a clean room and a freshly made bed. Instead, we want to build an experience that is memorable and unique. The Laundry Attendant tends to laundry machines to clean articles such as towels, sheets, etc. utilizing the necessary safety measures. 

Responsibilities 

Check Safety Buttons 

At the commencement of each job, start the equipment and initiate the stop button or bar. If there is a malfunction, report the condition to the Engineering Department. 

Never operate equipment on which the defective stopping device has been activated. Before proceeding it is important that you get help! 

Adheres to clothing (uniform) requirements: Uniforms should fit closely to the body. Long sleeves are not permitted when operating equipment. Loose fitting garments can become entangled in moving parts of equipment and cause serious damage. 

Follows precautionary measures: If linen becomes tangled in equipment during operation, stop equipment before attempting to remove linen. DO NOT attempt to remove linen when equipment is engaged. 

Load articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent. 

Turn valve to fill washer with water. 

Start machine that automatically washes and rinse articles. 

Lift clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles. 

Sort dried articles according to identification numbers or type. 

Fold and places item in appropriate storage bin. 

Lubricate machines. 

Other responsibilities as assigned.
