Laundry Aide

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, ensuring they function correctly and safely.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, resident personal clothing, and other items according to established procedures, ensuring proper handling of fabrics.
• Perform routine inspections of laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies, including detergents and other cleaning materials.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate laundry service delivery.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a healthcare or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of proper laundry techniques and fabric care.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and best practices.
• Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and their safe handling.
