We are seeking compassionate and skilled L1MA's to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to clients in a facility setting. The L1MA's will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing light housekeeping and meal preparation services. The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under supervision of licensed nurse.
- Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Present medication to patient and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication, using specified procedures.
- Take vital signs or observe residents to detect response to specified types of medications as appropriate to the individual medication administered.
- Prepare written reports and notify designated supervisory personnel of unexpected reactions including but not limited to vital signs outside normal parameters, shortness of breath, rash, swelling, nausea and/or vomiting.
- Document reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- May receive supply of ordered medications and/or other medical supplies.
- May record and restock medications and medical supply inventories on the nursing care units.
