Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our culinary team as a Kitchen Supervisor. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, contributing to the overall dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Execution:

  • Execute menu items with precision, following recipes and maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.

  • Maintain Recipe Binder each week

  • Provide weekly Prep List for Kitchen Team
  1. Kitchen Leadership:

  • Lead the culinary team under direction of director of dining services, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  1. Quality Control:

  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets or exceeds established standards.

  • Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to maintain a high level of culinary excellence.

  • Regularly monitor, cold and dry storage to maintain compliance with dates, covering, and discarding product.

  1. Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the storage, rotation, and usage of food supplies to minimize waste and maintain freshness.

  • Responsible for overseeing the ordering process, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment as needed. Ensures accuracy in ordering all menu items and alternate options

  • Responsible for End of the Month Inventory Completion within 3 days of month end

  • Responsible for maintaining and managing all waste logs in accordance with company procedures and standard

  • Ensure that stock and food items are promptly and properly stored in accordance with safety and organizational standards

 

  1. Safety and Sanitation:

 

  • Accountable for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring that all hygiene and safety standards are consistently upheld

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

  1. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the dining management team to accommodate special dietary needs and resident preferences.

  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to coordinate timing and delivery of meals.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent culinary training.

  • ServSafe Certified

  • Proven experience as a lead cook or similar role.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
