Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher

The Royal Glenora Club is seeking a Dishwasher/Steward to join our team.. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure dishes, cutlery, and buffet equipment are clean.
- General cleaning - mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, cleansing, polishing
- Operate industrial cleaning machinery.
- Handle food-grade cleaning supplies safely.
- Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Perform general cleaning tasks like mopping and scrubbing.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or food service experience is a plus but not required.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Able to stay composed under pressure.
- Physically fit for the demands of the job.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk throughout your shift.
- Lift and carry items up to 40 lbs regularly.
