The Opportunity
We're seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join our
small, high-impact technology team. Working directly with our Senior Developer
and CIO, you'll help build and maintain the automation systems and integrations
that power our billing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone
early in their career who wants hands-on mentorship while making a real
difference in healthcare technology.
The Junior
Developer will contribute to the development and support of internal automation
systems and software integrations that drive our billing operations. This
position is ideal for a technically driven individual at the early stage of
their development career who seeks real-world experience, structured
mentorship, and the opportunity to work on impactful healthcare technology
initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, build, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and workflows using Prefect.io
• Develop and manage data pipelines utilizing SQL for transformation, validation, and analysis of billing-related data
• Create and maintain robust API integrations with external Emergency Medical Services (EMS) software platforms
• Monitor system performance and reliability, including automated process health and exception handling
• Contribute to internal tool development using React and TypeScript as your role evolves
• Participate in regular code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Continuously improve processes and systems by identifying inefficiencies and implementing optimized solutions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–3 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Python, with basic familiarity in SQL and REST APIs
Preferred
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow)
• Exposure to front-end development (React, TypeScript)
• Familiarity with healthcare or billing systems
• Knowledge of Git and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Use of standard office equipment, including computer, keyboard, and telephone
• Hybrid work environment with occasional on-site presence in Terrell, TX required
