Journeyman Mechanic
The Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing customer equipment to ensure it is performing optimally.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspection, maintenance, service, and repair of stationary diesel generators ranging from 8kW to 2000kW.
- Travel to customer sites for inspection, service, and repairs within buildings.
- Testing all equipment to ensure proper operation and completing detailed paperwork.
- Following specifications on complex equipment diagrams, parts drawings, and catalogues.
- Representing Ketek and communicating effectively with customers.
- Testing and operating repaired equipment as needed.
- Maintaining tools and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician Certificate required.
- Strong diesel engine troubleshooting experience is an asset.
- Criminal background check required.
- Availability for on-call service 24/7 to respond to service calls.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle.
