Job Coach for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

This position is community based and you would work with our Fallbrook office.  We are looking for team members for the community of Fallbrook.

Position Overview

In this dynamic role, you will mentor and guide a small group of three individuals, focusing on nurturing their independence through life and social skills training. Your impact will extend beyond basic skills, fostering their confidence and integration into the community.

This part-time position is designed to offer work-life balance with a flexible schedule, ranging from 28 to 32 hours each week. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with working hours typically from 8:00am to 2:00pm.  *Please note: Schedules time may vary by up to 30 minutes depending on the needs of the assigned group.*

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow a daily schedule that goes to various community sites to teach life skills to clients.  
  • Update and manage individualized schedules for your assigned group.
  • Facilitate, model, and assist clients in various work activities and skills training.
  • Keep detailed, organized daily notes on individual progress and activities.
  • Engage and teach essential skills with patience, care, and encouragement.
  • Provide safe transportation using your personal vehicle to various community locations.
  • Maintain consistent communication with our office team, including reporting on each pickup and drop-off.

 

Experience

While prior experience in roles such as ABA Therapist, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Instructional Aide, Teacher's Aide, Caregiver, or Residential Facility/Group Home staff is advantageous, it is NOT a requirement. We are seeking compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a meaningful impact in the community. Every new hire goes through a 3-4 week training program prior to taking their own group.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to lift objects weighing over 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during work hours.
