Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Job coach who is responsible for recruiting, screening, placing, case managing and supporting clients who are enrolled in Employment Programs to ensure a successful transition into long term employment. These responsibilities will cover 70% of the role.
Job Responsibilities:
An ideal candidate should have patience, compassion, insight, and good judgment to work with participants who often face employment barriers. The candidate should be excited about the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of participants with mental health issues, addictions, and developmental disabilities. The responsibilities will include however not limited to:
- Work with participants in the classroom, providing coaching and support during the job search process.
- Identify employment opportunities that will be the right fit for participants.
- Accompany participants to and support them with job interviews.
- Deliver effective case management and client support.
- Keep accurate records for funders.
- Engage with community organizations and employers to ensure successful transitions into employment.
Additional 30 % of the role will cover Outcomes Specialist role. The responsibilities will include however not limited to:
- Work closely with employment team to develop strategies for enhancing program outcomes
- Participate in meetings and workshops to discuss program performance and improvements
- Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes, including participant demographics, employment rates, and retention statistics.
- Develop and maintain databases to track program metrics
- Complete corrective action plans to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Human Services or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations including those with mental health, addictions, and developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, dispute resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and strong administrative skills.

- Experience in the employment services sector is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Criminal Record Check
- Emergency First Aid is an asset however we will provide training.
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle
