Title: Janitor
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Greenwood, SC
Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all areas within the facility. This role ensures that the building is clean, organized, and well-kept, contributing to a safe, healthy, and productive environment for all employees, visitors, and customers.

• Maintenance of a safe and hygienic workplace helps prevent illness and accidents.
• Support of operations by ensuring the work environment is free from clutter, dirt, and debris.

Essential Functions:
• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in office spaces, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure that all areas are in good working order.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal and handling of waste.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and other high-touch areas, ensuring they remain free of fingerprints and smudges.
• Restock cleaning supplies and ensure proper storage of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., broken fixtures, clogged drains) to the appropriate department for repair.
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of exterior areas such as entryways, parking lots, and outdoor walkways.
• Follow safety protocols in the use of cleaning products and equipment, ensuring that all tasks are performed in a safe manner.
• Collaborate with the Facilities team to prioritize cleaning tasks and maintain a well-organized schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized cleaning cart or storage area for supplies and equipment.

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of cleaning materials, equipment, and techniques.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks with attention to detail, ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and lifting cleaning supplies and trash.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all
