About Working on a “Floatel”

LandSea will be providing workforce catering and accommodation services for guests onboard the MV Isabelle, a 650-passenger “Floatel”. The Floatel will be permanently docked in Squamish, B.C., and is estimated to operate for up to three years.

Our client Bridgemans is a global provider of workforce floatels and marine services. Their vessel, the MV Isabelle, will be arriving in Canada in early 2024. 

All crew members onboard the MV Isabelle must have the minimum marine safety (Seafarers) certifications required by Transport Canada for the specific job.

At work, the crew is provided with accommodation, full meals, and WIFI, and can access health/gym facilities they can access when off work. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from locations. Excellent Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.

About the Opportunity

We have four openings for Janitors and Office Cleaners in the Housekeeping Department.

The Housekeeping department is responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and service in guest staterooms, public areas, and open decks.

The Janitor and Office Cleaner are responsible for providing support to various departments to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel. Your role is crucial to maintaining a clean and organized environment, assisting the maintenance and repair of equipment, and supporting the needs of the guests and crew members. You will work under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and collaborate with different teams to fulfill daily tasks. Your reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to a positive guest experience onboard.

Applicants must have prior experience within the hospitality industry, an understanding of public health and environment requirements relating to cabin service, good verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
