IT Support Summer Student

Havergal College is a pre-eminent Canadian independent school for girls from JK to 12. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our faculty and staff in a ‘Summer Student’ capacity. May to September, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Position Description:

The IT Support Summer Student will assist with information technology initiatives in preparation for the upcoming academic year. The main responsibilities of this Summer Student position include:

• Refresh all student computers
• Update inventory database
• Prepare new computers for deployment
• Assist users with migration to new computers
• Answer the Service Desk phone
• Create Service Desk tickets for assignment of work
• Inventory and clean all AV equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• University/College Student in a technology related program
• Must be detail-oriented and well-organized
• Must have customer service skills
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds
• Must have computer skills, familiar with Windows and Mac
• Comfortable with heights and working on a ladder
