Tech Intern

Location: JM Test Systems, LLC - Baton Rouge, LA (On-Site / Hybrid) Type: Internship (Full-Time) Duration: Late March 2026 - June 2026 Start Date: Late March 2026 (ASAP) Potential for Full-Time Hire: Yes

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and curious Tech Intern to join our team for a hands-on internship spanning multiple areas of technology. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real-world experience across software development, cloud infrastructure, and the fast-moving world of AI. You will contribute to live projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and play an active role in shaping how we use technology going forward.

What You Will Work On

MERN Stack Development

• Build and maintain web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development on active projects
• Participate in code reviews and follow modern development best practices

Azure Cloud Migration

• Support the migration of systems and services to Microsoft Azure
• Assist with configuration, testing, and documentation of cloud infrastructure
• Help identify opportunities to optimize performance and reduce costs in the cloud

AI Implementation

• Play a leading role in exploring and implementing AI tools and solutions across the business
• Research and pilot AI integrations that improve team productivity and workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify where AI can make the biggest impact

General Technology Support

• Work across multiple areas of the tech team as needed
• Support ongoing projects and contribute ideas for process improvements

What We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Juniors or Seniors preferred, though strong Sophomores will be considered
• Hands-on experience or coursework in MERN stack development (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or cloud platforms in general is a plus
• Interest in AI tools, large language models, and practical AI integration
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team
