IT Business Analyst
Rapid Strategy is an award-winning, African-American-owned small business providing advanced cybersecurity and IT services to federal and commercial clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analysts to support an existing federal customer, contingent upon contract award. This role will lead and support enterprise business process reengineering and IT service management (ITSM) initiatives, with a focus on compliance, strategic improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with internal teams, client stakeholders, and technical experts to streamline operations and enhance efficiency through data-driven insights and ITIL-aligned frameworks.
Responsibilities
· Lead the implementation and optimization of business processes, ITSM practices, and operational improvements aligned to federal compliance objectives.
· Support stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and identify areas for redesign or efficiency gain.
· Apply ITIL best practices across incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management domains.
· Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and technical teams to translate analytical outputs into actionable business strategies.
· Develop detailed documentation including SOPs, process models, policies, training guides, and stakeholder communications.
· Facilitate the development of roadmaps and change management strategies to drive adoption of reengineered processes.
· Ensure consistency with government compliance standards, procedures, and regulatory expectations during all phases of business process enhancement.
· Act as a liaison between business, operations, and IT to manage expectations, resolve blockers, and deliver results with minimal disruption.
· Support incident and change impact assessments, and document risk, control, and mitigation plans.
· Guide junior and intermediate analysts, contributing to team skill development and project continuity.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
· Minimum 5 years of experience in business process improvement, reengineering, or strategic initiative support.
· Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, particularly in incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
· Demonstrated experience with government compliance standards, policies, and operational audits.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
· Ability to lead stakeholder engagements, manage priorities, and drive implementation efforts across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· ITIL v4 Foundations Certification.
· Familiarity with federal IT operations, business architecture, and change management frameworks.
· Experience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
