Inventory Coordinator
Position Summary:
This position’s primary responsibilities will be the daily coordinating of inventory after production and shipments of finished products and point of sale materials ensuring compliance in accordance with company policy, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices. Additionally, this position will help coordinate production, shipping, and returns of Abita Brewing Company products with the Logistic Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Finished Goods Inventory and Shipments:
- Oversees the daily inventory of all finished products and point of sales materials
- Assists with reviewing Crescent Crown’s orders and inventory
- Manages returns and destroy logs for accounting
- Responsible for the communication with AP and contract companies
- Finished goods inventory
- Assisting with BOLs and drawing up trucks
- Maintaining logs for accounting
- Process all point of sale orders and prepare for shipping
- Manage pallet inventory and orders for production
- Assists the Marketing department with donation request, special event planning and execution
Assist and Backup Logistics Manager:
- Provide updated notes and inventory counts for production meeting
- Assist with coordinating shipments through Abita trucks or contracted freight companies.
- Printing and drawing up trucks
- Assigning POs to contracted trucks and sending weekly plan to contract company
- Planning seasonal/limited shipments/production runs
- Planning dunnage pickups and pallet returns
- Assists with other duties needed by the Logistics Manager and within the shipping and warehouse departments

- Professional presence is required
- Position requires standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and materials weighing up to 40 pounds
- Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, upper body, and arm rotation, arm extension, and possible work from heights
- Exposure to various temperature changes
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (ear plugs, gloves, boots, etc.)
Supervision of Others
This position manages Warehouse and Truck Driving personnel.
Education/Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a brewery or other logistics/warehouse facility managing inventory levels
- Transportation and knowledge of DOT regulations preferred
- Knowledge of safe work operations, safety policies and procedures
- Attention to details, ability to recognize when there is a problem
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities/projects concurrently
- Excellent organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
