During our busiest season, estimated to be from late January through April 15th, tax season interns assist with the increased tax work from clients. Duties and responsibilities of a tax season intern will include but not limited to the following tasks:
- Scans tax documents
- Reviews and validates scanned documents
- Prepares basic tax returns
- Imports data from client's files to our workpaper files
- Learns to use accounting and tax software
- Provides assistance to Partners and Staff
- Develop an understanding of internal CPA practices
- Develop an understanding of teamwork within a work environment
Position Requirements
- Students in their Junior and Senior years, preferably with at least one section of Intermediate accounting already successfully passed
- GPA of 3.0 and higher
- Availability to work 24 or more hours per week during spring semester, is preferred
- Initiative, Excel and IT skills, and professionalism are significant factors in our selection of candidates (no reference to career-oriented intensity)
