Internal Medicine Hospitalist - Nocturnist

About the Opportunity:

Hospital-employed Hospitalist group seeks additional Internal Medicine residency trained physicians to join a robust, rapidly growing practice. Physician-managed hospitalist program with more than 25 full-time board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. South Alabama facility serves a diverse patient population spanning multiple age groups, socio-economic classes, and ethnicities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers and in- hospital consults
• Admit and co-manage with intensivist support adult patients in critical care
• Provide limited coverage for select private practice primary care patients
• Experience with EPIC EMR is ideal

Practice Highlights:

• 12-hour shifts (7P – 7A) with only 12 shifts/month minimum requirement

• 24/7 pulmonary/critical care support for all CC admissions
• 24-hour subspecialty support available for all specialties, including presence of in-house radiology physician 24/7
