QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 or more years of reclamation and remediation experience, including Phase 1, 2 and 3 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and reporting.
- Expert knowledge of Alberta Environmental Reclamation & Remediation Criteria and Guidelines for well sites and associated facilities and associated reporting.
- A demonstratable understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation.
- Solid range of experience with pre- and post-reclamation assessments and reclamation certificate applications.
- Knowledge of Alberta Environmental Criteria and Guidelines.
- Superior Project Management experience in managing upstream oil and gas projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy within a team environment.
- Available to travel.
- Experience supervising, training and coaching others.
- Proficient at software for word processing and data management.
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Natural or Soil Sciences.
- Valid Alberta drivers license.
- Professional status or eligibility for professional status with APEGA, AIA, or ASPB.
JOB DUTIES:
- Project manage the completion of assessment, remediation and reclamation projects, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget, directly or as an advisor.
- Communicate with Program Manager on a daily basis to ensure proper documentation and project scope.
- Ensure financial accountability of projects, monitoring and controlling project expenditures ensuring they are within the project scope.
- Project Completion: Coordinate completion of client final reporting requirements and ensure that final reports are accurate and on time.
- Complete select complex field component of Phase 2 and 3 environmental site assessments, detailed site assessments and reclamation activities.
- Responsible for delegating tasks to intermediate and junior project managers working on their projects. Provides on?site direction and supervision.
- Act as a coach and mentor for all junior, intermediate project managers ensuring they are developed to their full capability.
- Work as a member of a team to promote a culture of teamwork to ensure a high level of employee morale, productivity and engagement.
- Work with Program Manager to establish and maintain positive and effective client relationships to ensure continued project support as well as renewed or expanded work.
- Provide required information to clients through defined reporting protocol.
- Assess reclamation success on various reclaimed oil and gas well sites throughout Alberta.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and landowners.
- Data analysis and interpretation.
