Insurance/Escrow Loan Assistant

 

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Insurance/Escrow Loan Specialist. This position is responsible for all aspects of insurance tracking for collateral held by Resource Bank, all escrow transaction processing, loan administration reports, and various other duties listed below.

 

Essential Functions Insurance/Escrow Loan Assistant:

  • Responsible for verification of insurance on collateral as needed. 
  • Work with the lending team, clients, and/or insurance companies to obtain current insurance upon directed
  • Collaborating with the Insurance/Escrow Loan Specialist to prepare and work weekly insurance reports from tracking company to account officers.

·       Printing, labeling, sorting, and scanning all insurance notices and/or mail into the electronic system and/or to the tracking company.

  • Have knowledge and understanding of force placed insurance processes.
  • Supporting in collecting and paying invoices to insurance tracking company.
  • Assists as needed with Escrow disbursements for taxes and insurance.
  • Assists as needed with Annual Escrow Analysis Statements and Short-Year Statements.

·       Daily Escrow Reconciliations

  • Review various loan administration daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Performs loan and collateral maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with workflow of department.
  • Assist with maintaining paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
  • Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
  • Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanner, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and other applications.
  • Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.
  • Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

The work for this position is conducted in a back office of our bank and the requirement for travel is limited.  Travel for training may be required from time to time.  This position could require overtime depending on workload, which first must be requested and approved by management. 

Experience and Education:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) and two years of previous insurance/escrow experience is preferred.
