We are recruiting for a Full Time Insurance Coordinator to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in. This position is benefits eligible.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Acts as liaison between Outpatient Rehab/Patient’s Family/Insurance Company to
coordinate care and reimbursement. Collects all necessary medical
and insurance information. Performs various tasks associated with Outpatient
Case Management, verifying benefits, obtaining authorizations, processing
patients upon admission and discharge. Accountable for the tracking and
preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly statistical data and periodic
reports for the Outpatient Program when required. Interacts with
families of patients from infants, school age and/or adolescents up to and
including age 20. Responsible for attending the Business Office Meetings
on a monthly basis. Handle various clerical functions as assigned by the
Department Director or his/her representative. Thorough knowledge of
facility policies and procedures as it relates to the above duties is
required.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in obtaining Insurance Authorizations or working in a business office environment
- Must be able to articulate and possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally and courteously with individuals in person and over the phone.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook. General computer literacy required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
