You’re a data ninja who thinks beyond the spreadsheet. You transform key insights into actionable commercial strategy like it’s your day job, because hey, hopefully it will be! 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You’ll support the commercial sales team and senior leadership with key market insights and help guide our commercial strategy. Here are the specifics:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all aspects of sales data consolidation, tracking and reporting, leveraging Nielsen, IRI and retailer POS data.
  • Extract key insights, compile data presentations and present insights during internal, external, and senior leadership business reviews.
  • Support retail sales commercial strategy creation and implementation, working alongside National Sales Manager and VP of Sales.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis as needed: including but not limited to data deep dives on customer, category, segment, competitive actions and strategic case studies.
  • Conduct analysis on trade spend efficiency with emphasis on ROI and customer/category value.
  • Support National Sales Manager with approvals of retailer trade spends to drive investments aligned with our strategic plan.
  • Assist with trade spend validation and sell-through performance analysis leveraging POS data.
  • Lead data story creation behind innovation launch planning as well as internal business case analysis.
  • Synthesize multiple data insights to support senior leadership strategic planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years in CPG insights, category management.
  • University degree in Business or related field.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, specifically with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven track record of proactively turning insights into actionable results.
  • Experience with more advanced analytics suites considered an asset (Power BI, Excel Power Query, retailer POS portals) 
  • Preference may be given to candidates located in one of our CPG hubs: Invermere Headquarters, Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. 
  • This role will require travel at a minimum of 4 times per year and as needed for customer and team meetings.
