Scope of the position 

Inside Sales Support is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to customers, branch Outside Sales and Counter Sales staff.    

 

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • * Support Outside Sales and Counter Sales staff in the growth of all HVAC-R products 

  • * Provides technical support to both RSL staff and customers.  

  • * Provide equipment selection and job quotes on refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment to assist the sales department in fulfilling customer requirements.   

  • * Compare multiple supplier offerings to provide the best solution for the customer and RSL. 

  • * Answers customer calls and provide information and solutions. 

  • * Participate in staff and customer product training.  

  • * Coordinate and schedule customer orders. 

  • * Maintain records of sales, customer information and requests. 

  • * Provide counter sales support when needed. 

  • * Determines best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and company adherence to policies.  

  • * Practices safe material handling techniques.  

  • * Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and customers.  

  • * Participate in a call schedule for after-hours customer service. 

  • * Perform other duties as assigned or as required. 

 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • * Possesses excellent customer service skills. 

  • * Have extensive knowledge of supplier websites. 

  • * Ability to do load calculations for HVAC-R systems. 

  • * Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class 5 driver’s license. 

  • * Demonstrates an understanding of effective selling methods. 

  • * Possesses knowledge of HVAC-R systems and the ability to demonstrate and discuss with customers. 

  • * Have a working knowledge and complete understanding on how to process orders, quotes, credits, and backorders on the RSL computer software. 

  • * Understands basic inventory, warehousing and stocking procedures.  

  • * Must be able to handle multiple tasks. 

  • * Works easily with others in a high paced work environment. 

  • * Demonstrates effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening). 

  • * Be energetic and self-motivated. 

  • * Maintain a business-like manner at all times.
