Inside Sales Representative

Edmonton, AB Full-time

We're currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Edmonton. 

The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting customers and driving sales of building supplies. This position manages inbound inquiries, prepares quotes, processes orders, and provides product knowledge to contractors, builders, and retail clients. Working closely with the operations and outside sales teams, the Inside Sales Representative ensures accurate inventory information, timely order fulfillment, and exceptional customer service.

Monday - Friday + rotating Saturdays

Customer Service

  • Greet walk-in customers and answer calls/emails in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide assistance to customers through quoting and ordering process
  • Produce packing slips for pick-up, delivered, or direct transactions
  • Advise customers on use and care of merchandise
  • Maintain customer files 
  • Execute the CRM process

Showroom

  • Keep up to date with new products
  • Stock rotation
  • Accept payment as outlined by Sales Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Organize showroom merchandise
  • Review stocking levels and ensure appropriate quantity 
  • Price label maintenance
  • Design Showroom for client purchase optimization
  • Complete opening and closing tasks
  • Create a safe and clean environment within the showroom for all clients and employees
  • Attend and present updates at sales meetings, where applicable
  • Check orders for accuracy
  • Additional duties that may be assigned by the Sales Manager or Sales Desk Showroom Supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Sales experience and/or experience in the building supply industry is an asset.
  • Quick learning capabilities.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), presentation and negotiation skills are required.
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and a desire to succeed within a team environment are very important.
